| Hi, I'm currently thinking about to install tomei poncam to my z32 '95 NA. click here for the product specification. Application Duration(IN) Duration(EX) cam lift(IN) cam lift(EX) Part No. Price(\) Z32 256° 256° 8.50 8.50 143045 188,000 It only changes valve duration compared to stock camshaft. 248 -> 256. And it says after 08/1993 z32 needed in order to fit it to the cam sprocket. I wonder why. Just for the shape of the sprocket fitting or adjusting of valve timing like adjustable sprockets they offer with camshafts? I have no idea the difference between before 08/1993 production and after. These things make me interested in installing process of tomei camshafts. Anyone did this before? I need rough picture of the process. Such as valve timing job and rest. I wonder how many people here has tomei camshafts. I hope there are many. Another thing I concern about is that the stock ECU will cover this camshaft modification. Pre-hi-cam-user(not z32 though) recommands to me ecu adjustment everytime I change my engine components. However tomei homepage comments nothing about it. If there is a tomei camshaft user with stock ECU, please give me a hint of stability on idle and throttling. I wonder how loud it would be. I installed hi-flow cat pipes and still it is as quiet as stock cat pipes.(really slight increase of sound) Stock cat-back reduces the noise pretty well. Tomei hompage says "¦Stable idle" nevertheless it could be only stable but loud with my exhaust configuration. I'm posting this message here because I barely have technical knowledge so these questions might seem stupid to you pros. I've searched words 'tomei' and 'camshaft' but not useful things came up.
I really envy those guys beats stock vg30dett with vg30de. I hope I can install this camshaft easily like tomei speaks. Thanks for reading.
